Safety

At Manpower HealthCare, we know that our customers are serious about safety. No one wants an injury or illness that can negatively and permanently change lives. That's why Manpower HealthCare remains focused on building and implementing the most comprehensive safety program available in the staffing industry. But we can't do it alone. Although Manpower is the primary employer, we share the responsibility for on-the-job safety.

Manpower HealthCare is committed to a safety policy and program that instills accident prevention as our first objective.

 

Manpower HealthCare agrees to:
  • Train its employees in general safe work practices prior to commencement of services to our customers.
  • Visit your work site to review safety practices and get to know your work environment.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to, the provisions of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act and Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to, the provisions of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act and Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Maintain safety guidelines and a written Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
  • Reinforce safety to our employees through our monthly safety paycheck inserts.
  • Strengthen our safety program with our regular staff employees through quarterly safety meetings and training.

A critical component to on-the-job safety success is the role of our customer.


As the "host" employer, you agree to:

  • Maintain an Injury and Illness Prevention Program, which ensures that Manpower HealthCare employees are protected from workplace hazards while on your site, including Manpower HealthCare conducting site inspections of your workplace.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to, the provisions of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act and Occupational Safety and Health Act.
  • Accept responsibility for the day-to-day supervision, direction, and control of the work performed by our employees while they are on assignment at your company.
  • Review and approve the final work product in accordance with professionally recognized standards.
  • Notify Manpower HealthCare when an assignment ends.
  • Include Manpower HealthCare employees in any OSHA required site-specific safety training, communications, instructions or programs to ensure employees are protected from workplace hazards while on your site.
  • Prevent our employees from performing duties outside the realm of the original assignment.
  • Provide our employees with any required personal protective equipment and training of such equipment.
  • Immediately contact Manpower HealthCare if the job duties change on an assignment, or if one of our employees becomes ill or injured on the job.
