Manpower Health Care provides a comprehensive Fringe Benefits Program to all qualified employees, including:

All benefits are administered through Manpower HealthCare's parent company, Manpower, Inc.

 

Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
Contractors who complete 30 days of service are eligible to participate in the BioSource Group Life, Dental, Vision and Major Medical Plans.

Enrollment is the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment. and 140 hours worked. BioSource invests in their employees by contributing to the premium costs of the plan so that contractors are assured adequate insurance coverage.

Free Training

Manpower HealthCare provides all of its employees with Health and Safety training to implement optimum health and safety practices on the job, along with general training emphasizing health and wellness.

We cover:
    -Safety and Ergonomics
    -Bloodborne Pathogens
    -Biohazards
    -Customer Service and Customer Care

In addition, we offer a comprehensive medical terminology program to our employees and applicants who wish to improve their skills. This computer-based training program includes ten 2-hour courses and teaches trainees not only the definitions of terms, but also their proper pronunciation.

Courses include:
    -Basis of Medical Terminology
    -Integumentary System
    -Musculo-Skeletal System
    -Circulatory System
    -Respiratory System
    -Gastrointestinal System

Our parent company, Manpower, is one of the few employers in the world to offer all its employees free and ongoing computer training in the courses of their choice. Training is available at our San Jose Training Center or via the web through our Training and Development Center at www.manpowertdc.com.

For all Manpower HealthCare employees, the free classes include TechTrack, Business Skills and Skillware, just to name a few:

TechTrack
Technical training for leading-edge technologies. Over 1000 courses are offered including Java, Oracle, E-Commerce, Windows NT and SAP. Many of these curricula map to today's most popular vendor IT certifications.

Business Skills
College equivalent business training to cross-train the professional and upskill the career-minded. Curriculum areas include Business, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Budgeting, Management, Business Law, and HR Management.

Skillware
End-user training for today's popular office software products including Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Office 2000, and Lotus SmartSuite Millennium Edition.

And many, many more skill-building courses.

Web Based Training

Manpower HealthCare employees, as part of the Manpower community, are offered e-learning on a scale unmatched in any industry. You'll find the latest on training, assessments, certification and the job market. Plus, we've just expanded by adding a virtual Community Center with chat rooms, live expert-led seminar events and web links to a wide range of informative Internet resources.

Registered students also have access to our leading-edge learning center that includes an extensive collection of training and assessment tools. We recently added over 100 business skill courses to the more than 1,000 software and IT courses already offered here. We also added Spanish and French versions of some of our training courses. Every time our employees complete a class, we update their records to reflect their increased knowledge and skills. We can subsequently assign them to the kinds of positions in which they can apply their growing skills and continue to build their careers.

Voluntary Disability

Manpower Health Care provides a disability program to those who are eligible to the amount of 115% weekly benefits provided by the State of California. Our Voluntary Disability program is administered by the Voluntary Plan Administrators and has an exceptional turnaround time. This assures our qualifying employees of no disruption in their earnings and offers added value to their required state contributors.

Hospitalization & Survivor Insurance

In addition to full coverage under our Worker's Compensation for work-related accidents, Manpower HealthCareprovides a maximum $5,000 in benefits to all qualified contractors who have non-work related accidents, from those requiring hospitalization to those resulting in the death of the employee. This benefit is provided at no cost to the employee.

Vacation and Holiday Pay

You will receive one week vacation pay after you have worked 1500 hours from within 1 year of your start date.
In your second year of employment, and thereafter, you are again eligible for one week vacation pay after working 1500 hours. If you work more than 1800 hours during your second year of employment, you will be eligible for another week of vacation pay.
Vacation pay will be paid upon eligibility at your most recent rate.

Referral Bonuses

Each time you refer someone to a position at Manpower HealthCare and they work an assignment, you will receive a referral bonus. All referrals must qualify for existing positions available through HealthCare to be eligible. Ask your HealthCare Staffing Specialist to provide you with more information.

Direct Deposit

Manpower HealthCare offers convenient, reliable, direct deposit at no charge. Upon completion of a direct deposit enrollment form, it takes approximately three weeks for the direct deposit to become active. You will receive your paycheck stub as usual.

401(k)

We have a company-sponsored 401(k) plan with the Daily Valuation Program of Union Bank that is available to contractors who complete at least three months of service and have completed 300 hours with Manpower HealthCare.

Credit Union & Costco Membership

Valley Credit Union is available to all BioSource employees entitling them to many consumer and financial benefits.

To establish membership with the Credit Union, employees must open a Regular Share Account, maintaining the $50.00 minimum balance, and paying a one-time only nonrefundable membership fee.

Once a member, always a member, regardless of an employee's place of employment. Any family member qualifies for membership too.

As an employee of Manpower HealthCare, you will also be eligible to join Costco. Simply take your payroll stub to any Costco location and complete their enrollment form. Costco charges an annual fee for membership.

No Employee Fees

Some staffing services charge the applicant a placement fee. At HelathCare there's no charge to you because all fees are paid by our customers.

Direct Placement

While the majority of our assignments at Manpower HealthCare are contract positions (temporary), our customers may request us to recruit for their regular full-time needs. Your resume may be considered for both contract and full-time positions.

Once you are on an assignment, our customer may wish to convert you as one of their regular employees. After a period of time, there is no cost to the customer. Please keep us informed should this event occur.
